According to reports, Princess Charlene is being housed at a secret location, not in Monaco, while she "recovers from tiredness," separated from her husband and their six-year-old twins.

This comes after the princess missed a public appearance this week due to "severe fatigue," - fueling new concerns over her health.

Princess Charlene had only recently returned to Monaco following an extended 10-month stay in South Africa, where she was recovering from surgery following a sinus infection.

Ahead of Monaco's National Day Prince Albert revealed in an interview that the former Olympic swimmer has once again left the country and is staying at an undisclosed location, reports Tatler.

Prince Albert told Monaco-Matin: "She is better, but she still needs rest and peace. She is not in the Principality, but we will be able to visit her very soon.

"I cannot tell you more out of discretion. There is tiredness, not just physical, which can only be treated with a period of rest and monitoring." [Translated from French]

He added their young twins, Jacques and Gabriella, had "suffered from the absence of their mother." However, he has now taken a more active role in their lives.
