Princess Charlene seems to be in good spirits as she continues to recover in South Africa.
The former Olympic swimmer contracted an ear, nose and throat infection in May while doing conservation work in the country. She underwent multiple procedures as a result, and was unable to return to Prince Albert and their twins, Gabriella and Jacques.
"It's been a trying time for me. I miss my husband and children dearly," she told Channel24 in a statement. "What has been extremely difficult for me was when I was instructed by my medical team that I could not return home for my 10th wedding anniversary. Albert is my rock and strength and without his love and support I would not have been able to get through this painful time."
Now, sharing her first photos since contracting the infection, the royal shares that she's "making blankets for the créche next door" where she's staying, all the while, she says, "spending time with Jacqui and Bella" even if it is via video call.
