Queen Elizabeth's week in Scotland is turning out to be her busiest in a long time.

The monarch made her fourth consecutive public appearance in as many days on Thursday when she attended the Royal Company of Archers Reddendo Parade in the gardens of the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

This time, her eldest son and heir to the throne, Prince Charles –known as the Duke of Rothesay in Scotland – was by her side to support her.

Photos shared by the royal family Twitter account show the queen smiling as she is presented with a 'Reddendo' from The Royal Company of Archers – who are HM's Body Guard in Scotland.

Although she has received audiences at her Windsor Castle home, Queen Elizabeth's outing on Monday for the historic Ceremony of the Keys marked her first public appearance since her Platinum Jubilee celebrations in early June.

The queen was absent from all five days of Royal Ascot earlier this month, marking the first time she's missed the horse racing event during her 70-year reign.
