Get ready for the unexpected - Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has promised that the third instalment of the Marvel film will be like no other.

The 55-year-old director has opened up about the upcoming film, praising actor Chukwudi Iwuji for his performance.

Sharing an update on the film, James told Collider: "It's going great. Chukwudi, who plays Murn in Peacemaker, is one of the main characters in the movie and people are freaking out over how good the guy is. Literally freaking out."

The filmmaker added that he's "really happy" with the movie's progress so far.

"It's different than what people are going to expect," he said.
