Keri Russell in talks to star in Stars Wars: Episode IX

Cape Town – Keri Russell is reportedly in talks to star in the next instalment in the Star Wars franchise. 

Variety reports that The Americans actress is set to reunite with writer/director J.J. Abrams for Star Wars: Episode IX.

The pair previously worked together on the 2006 Mission Impossible and the popular 90s television series, Felicity

Details about the role has yet to be released. 

The publication further reports that Abrams will cast two more actors before production begins at the end of July. 

Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver will reprise their roles. 

Last week Boyega shared a countdown to the release of the film on his Instagram account.
