Michael Keaton in talks to reprise his role as Batman

Michael Keaton is reportedly in talks to reprise his role as the Batman. 

The 68-year-old played the Caped Crusader in the 1989 directed by Tim Burton.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael could appear in the DC movie The Flash directed by Andy Muschietti and starring Ezra Miller as Barry Allen.

The publication further reports that the role envisioned for the actor is a mentor or guide similar to Samuel L Jackson's Nicky Fury in the Marvel Universe.

The Founder actor is no stranger to superhero roles in 2017 he played The Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming and in the 2014 film Birdman; he played an actor who once starred in superhero films.

The Flash is scheduled to begin filming later this year and will be released in cinemas in July 2022.
