"Get ready to dream again. We're ready to welcome you back."

It was an instant emotional experience – and jolting, although wonderfully so – to sit inside a movie theatre at Nu Metro Boardwalk in Port Elizabeth on Friday, wearing a face mask. When the lights dimmed, something happened that I didn't expect and wasn't ready for.

Instead of the pre-roll stack of promos with cinema trailers of upcoming films and commercials, there was something completely on the screen – something that made my eyes well up and would probably want to loop-watch 50 times over at home, in front of a laptop, on YouTube.
