Oscars ceremony to open with a bang despite not having a host


Cape Town - ABC have teased a "very exciting opener" to the Oscars, after Kevin Hart was forced to drop out of the hosting job.

The network's entertainment president, Karey Burke told TV critics that the lack of clarity about the ceremony this year has made the Oscars a talking point.

This year the academy pledged to keep the ceremony to only three hours.
