  • Ryan Reynolds got a coronavirus test before returning to work on the Netflix film Red Notice.
  • The actor documented the process on his Instagram account.
  • Filming for the movie, which also stars Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot, was shut down in March due to the pandemic.

Ryan Reynolds is getting ready to go back to work, but not without a coronavirus test first.

The 43-year-old stars alongside Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot in the Netflix action film Red Notice. Filming is set to resume on the movie after production was shut down in March due to the pandemic.

The film centres on an Interpol agent (Johnson) who has to track down the world's most wanted art thief (Gadot) after the agency issues a global alert. Ryan will play the 'world's greatest con-man'.

The Deadpool actor documented his experience of getting tested on Instagram. Alongside pictures taken by his wife Blake Lively, he wrote: "Back to work on #RedNotice. The Covid Test is quick and easy. The doctor places the swab up your nose, just deep enough to tickle your childhood memories and then it's over. No matter what you say to him, he won't buy you dinner first."

Earlier in the week, Gal also shared pictures of her having the test done. She wrote: "Getting ready to head back to the Red Notice set, but prep looks a little different now."

Dwayne revealed earlier this month that he, his wife Lauren, and daughters Jasmine and Tiana are all recovering from Covid-19.

The former wrestler said it has been "one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure as a family."
