The third instalment of The Kissing Booth franchise has already been shot and will premiere on Netflix in 2021.

Hot on the heels of the release of the second movie the cast revealed the exciting news on Sunday during a YouTube live event.

Joey King who plays Elle, thanked the fans and shared the exciting news reports Entertainment Weekly.

"You guys, I just want to thank the fans for their tremendous support and the love they have shown us and the amazing franchise. From the first movie to the second one just coming out on Friday. I mean, the explosion of love have been so real. And it's because of everyone on here that this all happened."

Joey added, "And I have a little extra piece of info that may be exciting for some. The Kissing Booth 3 will be released in 2021."

According to Variety, the third movie was filmed in South Africa at the same time the sequel was shot and is currently in post-production.

The original cast Joey, Joel Courtney, Jacob Elordi, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Molly Ringwald and Meganne Young will reprise their roles.

The movie will pick up where the sequel left off, Elle has a decision to make about which college she will attend. Will she follow her boyfriend Noah (Elrodi) to Harvard is or stick to the plan of attending Berkley with bff Lee (Courtney)?


The Kissing Booth directed by Vince Marcello and is based on the novel by Beth Reekles.

The series follows best friends Elle and Lee as they juggle, friendship, romantic relationships and graduating from high school to college.
