... We’re delighted to welcome you back to the Labia Theatre & Garden Terrace with (socially distanced) open arms on Friday 21 August. * We take the health and safety of our patrons and our staff very seriously. Rest assured we are fully compliant with government guidelines and have put numerous safety measures in place so that you can relax and enjoy the Big Screen experience, safe in the knowledge that we have everything covered. * These measures require a few changes to your usual Labia visit: * 1. Please, as far as possible, book your tickets online through Webtickets to reduce queuing at the box office and to ensure seats will be available. * 2. In line with regulations, we will screen and take temperatures of everyone entering. Any patron or staff member with an elevated temperature will be refused entry. * 3. Masks are mandatory, except when eating or drinking. * 4. We have placed physical distancing floor markers where required. Please do not gather in the foyer, but rather wait on the Terrace until it is time to take your seat. * 5. We have staggered the start times for our films to reduce the number of people arriving and leaving at any one time. * 6. We have made hand-sanitiser readily available. Our staff are equipped with PPE and counters have protective screens. * 7. The cinemas and public spaces will be regularly deep-cleaned with sanitising spray. Our staff will continuously clean high-contact surfaces. * 8. We have reduced the number of available seats so that you can sit with a safe distance between you and other patrons... 3 empty seats on either side of you or your group (whether it’s one patron, or 2 or more sitting together) and empty seats in front and behind you. * We will be posting our film programme in the next few days. * Keep well. Stay safe. See you soon! * #thelabia #labiatheatre #gardenterrace #capetownmovies #whatsoncapetown #movielover #citybowl #newmovies #datenight
Audiences are limited to a maximum of fifty per screening, and booking through Webtickets is recommended.
Moviegoers can look forward to seeing the following three opening films.
Misbehaviour - a British feel-good comedy-drama set in London in 1970 and centred on the Miss World beauty pageant.
Marianne & Leonard: Word of Love - a documentary about Leonard Cohen and his muse Marianne Ihlen.
The Invisible Man - a reboot of the classic H.G. Wells thriller starring Elisabeth Moss.
