Cape Town – A biopic of one of South Africa's most wanted criminals, Collen Chauke is currently in production. 

The film State Enemy Number 1 will be released in November.

It will centre on the life of Chauke who was a former MK soldier, a cash in transit robber and at one time the most wanted man in South Africa. 

Chauke was suspected of being behind 17 murders and stealing R82m. He died in prison in 2003 while serving a 20 year sentence. 

Mduduzi Mabaso will play Chauke and Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa will play his wife, Grace.  

Other cast members include: Meshack Mavuso, Thami Mngqolo, Zenzo Ngqobo, Pearl Modiadie and Ntsiki Mazwai who makes her acting debut.
