The new comedy-horror movie Bad Hair takes having a bad hair day to the next level.
Directed by Justin Simien (Dear White People) the film is set in Los Angeles in 1989 and follows Anna Bludso (Elle Lorraine) who swaps her natural hair for a weave to climb the ladder in the world of music television.
The one-minute clip teases a scary twist with its ominous music and cryptic scenes that there is a darkness surrounding that weave.
Speaking about the movie to Entertainment Weekly Justin said the change of hair "is sort of doing very well for her career by day, but there is a hidden toll to pay at night."

The film also stars Vanessa Williams, Lena Waithe, Laverne Cox, Jay Pharoah, Kelly Rowland, Blair Underwood, James Van Der Beek and Usher Raymond.
In an interview with Variety, Justin said that he "didn't want to moralise getting a weave or not", he "wants to question the system that marginalises and oppresses black woman".
