Wesley Snipes didn't get the role in the first Coming to America. Now, thirty-two years later, the actor is starring in the sequel.
"I auditioned for the first Coming to America, but I didn't get to audition in front of Eddie. After three callbacks, I ended up losing the role to Eriq La Salle. But ever since I saw that movie, I've wanted to work with Eddie," the actor told Entertainment Weekly.
The 58-year-old will play General Izzi in Coming 2 America which will premiere globally on Amazon Prime 5 March 2021.
The streaming service has released a first look image of Wesley, and his onscreen daughter Teyana Taylor.
Other newcomers include Kiki Layne, Tracy Morgan, Jermaine Fowler, and Leslie Jones.
