Adele's new album, 30, became the top-selling album in the US just three days after its release on 19 November.

According to Billboard, initial reports by MRC Data, the album sold more than 500 000 copies in the US between 19 and 21 November, surpassing sales of any album over the past 11 months.

The previous record-holder was Taylor Swift's Evermore album which sold 426 000 copies through the week ending 18 November. Although Evermore was released in 2020, it has continued to sell well in 2021.

30 has also earned itself 2021's biggest sales week in the US, surpassing Taylor Swift's Red (Taylor's Version), which sold 369 000 copies in the week ending 18 November.
