Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have teamed up on a new project, forming a band named Silk Sonic.

The duo has revealed that they will be releasing their first single together in March but have not yet announced a release date for their album.

"We locked in and made an album. The band's called Silk Sonic. First song drops next Friday 3/5," Bruno shared on Instagram.

Bruno and Anderson went on tour together in 2017, and in that same year, reportedly worked on material with Disclosure and Nile Rodgers, according to Pitchfork.

While Anderson .Paak's last album, Ventura, was released in 2019, Bruno's last project, 24K Magic, was in 2016.
