South Korean band BTS has made history at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.

The septet comprised of members: Rap Monster, Jin, Suga, V, J Hope, Jimin and Jungkook, won three of six nominations. They won Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, and Top Selling Song for Butter.

In total, the group has won 12 BBMAs trophies, which they have set a new record for.

According to NME, they beat Destiny's Child's 17-year record of 11 wins and they are now tied with One Direction with 3 wins in the Top Duo/Group category, reports the publication.

In June, BTS will release an anthology album, which will consist of three parts. It will feature three new songs alongside their past hits.
