Drake has officially become the first artist to surpass 50 billion combined streams on Spotify.

While reports of the rapper's achievement floated around the past few days, a representative for Spotify has now confirmed the news to Variety.

According to the publication, the Canadian star's 2018 hit God's Plan alone racked up 1. 675 billion streams. Meaning that, while his achievement is impressive, it's not all that surprising.

Drake has also previously been named Spotify's most-streamed artists of the 2010s, followed by Ed Sheeran, Post Malone and Ariana Grande.

"50 billion streams SHEESH congrats to THE BOY," Future, who features Drake on his Life Is Good track, tweeted.

Drake is currently working on the releasing of his upcoming album, Certified Lover Boy.
