Elton John postpones US shows after contracting Covid-19

Sir Elton John has revealed that he has contracted Covid-19, forcing him to reschedule shows in Dallas, Texas.

"Hi everyone, wanted to send a message to let you know that I have contracted Covid and so have had to reschedule my shows in Dallas," the singer shared in a statement on his Instagram Stories.

"It's always a massive disappointment to move shows and I'm so sorry to anyone who's been inconvenienced by this but I want to keep myself and my team safe," he added.

The I'm Still Standing singer said that he has been "fully vaccinated and boosted", and his symptoms are "mild".

This isn't the first time Elton has had to rework dates for his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour for medical reasons.

In 2021, the singer's tour suffered a delay due to a hip injury he sustained after falling.
