Jesy Nelson has been back in studio, and fans think this means she's planning a solo career.

The singer left Little Mix in December 2020 after nine years with the group.

"This is an incredibly sad time for all of us but we are fully supportive of Jesy," a statement from the band read. "We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being," it continued.

The news about Jesy's departure from the group came one month after it was revealed that she had taken an "extended" break from Little Mix due to "private medical reasons".

Now, it seems the singer is ready to step back into the world of music, and we couldn't be more excited.

According to Music News, Jesy posted an Instagram Story showing herself in studio with a guitarist and engineer. The singer then followed songwriter/producers Patrick Jordan Patrikios and Sunny on Instagram. Both artists have previously worked with Little Mix, the publication reports.

And if that is not enough evidence for you, Jesy's most recent Instagram post is a picture of herself with the caption: "Let's go," followed by three music note emojis.

We can't wait to hear what she's been working on!

Meanwhile, the three remaining Little Mix members, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, have promised that they will be releasing new music "very soon"
