Harry Styles is 'devasted for the victims' of a shooting in a mall in Copenhagen, Denmark, near where he was scheduled to perform.

According to reports, gunfire in a Copenhagen mall Sunday killed three and severely injured three other people, Danish police said, adding that they had arrested one person, described as a 22-year-old male, in connection with the shooting but did not give details on a potential motive.

The shooting took place hours before Styles was scheduled to perform at the nearby Royal Arena venue as part of his highly anticipated Love On Tour. As a result, he was forced to cancel the performance and wrote that he was "heartbroken" over the news.

"I'm heartbroken along with the people of Copenhagen. I adore this city. The people are so warm and full of love. I'm devastated for the victims, their families, and everyone hurting. I'm sorry we couldn't be together. Please look after each other. H," he wrote on Twitter.

The As It Was hitmaker's next stop is Paris on Tuesday, 5 July.

In the latest update, the Danish police announced on Twitter that following an investigation, it appears the shooter acted alone.
