  • "When it comes to our Christmas playlist, we love the vintage Christmas classics the most but every now again someone does a modern version that is just perfection," Tamara tells Channel24.

From holiday classics to Christmas pop songs, South African singer-songwriter Tamara Dey shares what's queued on her December playlist.

"When it comes to our Christmas playlist, we love the vintage Christmas classics the most but every now again someone does a modern version that is just perfection. These six Christmas songs really get my family and me into the festive spirit," Tamara tells Channel24

And, like many of us around the world, Tamara is spending the festive season at home with those closest to her. "I'm not touring this year because of the pandemic but rather enjoying a beautiful season at home in Johannesburg," she says.

About what makes a Christmas on home soil truly special, she says: "South African Christmases are all about family and sunshine! We have a hot Christmas here and often spend it poolside when we are not around the Christmas tree."

Tamara recently collaborated with Starbucks At Home on its limited-edition Holiday Blend, and says: "Christmas wouldn't be the same for us with our endless cups of coffee and Christmas biscuits to dunk in it.

"We are obsessed with the Dulce Gusto Toffee Nut Latte capsules; it's giving us all that Christmas flavour we know and love," she adds.
