A new DMX song has been released just one week after the rapper's death

The track, titled Been to War, also features Swizz Beatz and French Montana and was recorded for the series Godfather of Harlem, starring Forest Whitaker.

DMX's distinctive sound can be clearly heard on the hard-hitting song, as he raps: "Imma march to the beat/I'm my own drummer/Let's get it on baby/We can go to war all summer/I done been to jail/I done did numbers/I done been to hell/I done been under."

The X Gon' Give It To Ya rapper died on Friday, 9 April, after spending a week in hospital on life support following a heart attack.
