Selena and Salt-N-Pepa among 6 artists to receive Lifetime Achievement Awards at 2021 Grammys

Selena and Salt-N-Pepa are among six artists who will be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 63rd Grammys in 2021.

Marilyn Horne

Lionel Hampton

Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five

According to Billboard, this is the second year in a row that a hip hop group has been selected to receive this award. In fact, this time around two groups are being honoured - Salt-N-Pepa and Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five.

The first hip hop group to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award was Run DMC in 2016.

Three recipients of the Trustee Award have also been announced - Ed Cherney, Benny Golson and Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds.

Daniel Weiss will receive the Technical Grammy Award. 

The 63rd annual Grammy Awards will take place on 31 January 2021 and will be hosted by South African comedian Trevor Noah.
