Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have revealed that their debut album as Silk Sonic will only be released in January 2022.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the pair chatted about their upcoming project, which was initially slated for release in the second half of 2021, sharing why it has been pushed back.

"I don't want to be binge-watched," Bruno told the publication, saying that the idea was to put out more music and let each track have its moment to shine instead of releasing everything at once.

The singer added that the album, titled An Evening with Silk Sonic, is in "touch-up mode", saying: "We've got the bones of most of the album, so it's really about touching up the parts that need a little more grease."

Bruno and Anderson first announced their joint venture in February 2021, going on to release the wildly popular Leave the Door Open.

The duo recently dropped Skate, their second single from the album.
