The singer also opened up about the folklore album as a whole, and what went into making it.

"There's a collection of songs [on the album] I refer to as The Teenage Love Triangle (in my head). These three songs explore a summer love triangle from all three people's perspectives at different times in their lives," she told the Vevo team. "It's like one event happened in their town and it affected them each differently," she added.
