The Grammy Awards - one of the biggest nights in music. Every artist dreams of clutching that golden gramophone statuette while standing before their peers, delivering an acceptance speech. But what does it take to get there?

I'll be honest. I had very little interest in the behind-the-scenes workings of the Grammys in previous years. When the Recording Academy told me that artist A's album was better than Artist B's, I just took their word for it, delivering "oohs" and "aahs" right on cue, and, admittedly, being distracted by the glitz and glamour of it all.

Then The Weeknd put it out there, calling the entire system "corrupt". Many of his colleagues in the music industry backed up his statement, with people like Halsey and Zayn Malik eventually speaking out too.
