The Weeknd's Blinding Lights has taken the top spot on Billboard's Greatest Of All Time Hot 100 Songs recap.

The 2019 track by the Canadian star earned the number one spot after logging a record-breaking run on the weekly Hot 100, Billboard writes.

After topping the charts for four weeks in 2020, the song also broke the record for most weeks spent in the top five, top 10 and top 40 on the chart overall.

"I don't think [it] has hit me yet," The Weeknd told the publication, adding: "I try not to dwell on it too much. I just count my blessings, and I'm just grateful."

Blinding Lights beats out Chubby Checker's The Twist, which took the top spot on Billboard's first Greatest Of All Time Hot 100 recap in 2008, and retained the title in the updated charts five and 10 years later.

Checker's hit now moves to number two on the chart, while Carlos Santana and Rob Thomas' Smooth comes in at number three.
