  • Nasty C took some time to break down the lyrics for his new track, Palm Trees.
  • In a video shared on YouTube, the rapper explained the meaning behind some of the lines in the song and also spoke about why he wears grills even though they may be uncomfortable.
  • After debuting the official Palm Trees video in the first week of August, Nasty C performed the track for the first time at the 2020 Samas.

In case any of the lyrics from Nasty C's latest track, Palm Trees, went over your head, the rapper is here to explain it to you.

In a video posted on YouTube, Nasty C shared the meaning behind some of the lines in the song. And while some verses didn't need much of an explanation, fans still enjoyed watching the short clip.

Aside from talking us through some rather risqué lyrics, Nasty C also explained why he loves wearing grills, even though they may not be the most comfortable thing.

"I'm ghetto, and ghetto people like grills, man. We like grills. It feels like a symbol of success, to some degree, so we'll wear it," he said about the expensive dental jewellery which tends to cause a lisp when worn.

The official video for Palm Trees dropped on Thursday 6 August. Nasty C then debuted the track when he performed at the finale of the 2020 South African Music Awards
