WATCH: Shots fired outside Ice Cube concert

Cape Town – A man fired shots on Sunday outside a sold-out concert by the rapper Ice Cube because he was unable to get tickets. Law enforcement then returned fire and injured the suspect who has been identified as Daniel Elizarraras of Escondido according the police in the area.  

The incident took place at Del Mar Fairgrounds in Dan Diego, California.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department posted an updated press release about the shooting on Monday which read in part: 

“A man who fired a handgun at the ticket window of the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club has been identified as twenty-two-year-old Daniel Elizarraras of Escondido. Elizarraras was shot after he fired his weapon and a deputy returned fire. Elizarraras’ condition has been listed stable and he is expected to survive. The shooting is currently being investigated by the Sheriff's Homicide Unit. The involved deputies were not injured. The investigation is continuing.” See that press release in full here.
