Johannesburg - The drug speculation surrounding Bonang Matheba is nothing new. But it seems like every few years, the gossip rears its ugly head. Queen B, however, is firm on the matter: "I'm not on drugs."

In an interview with Drum magazine, Bonang has again denied that she has a substance abuse problem. "If I was on drugs I would be late for work, interviews and shoots. You would have seen me with a runny nose and red or glossy eyes."

It's a subject that has always been an irritation, with B saying that whoever is spreading the rumours should come forward with proof. "I'm waiting for someone to come forward with a picture, or say when they saw me doing drugs. I get my high from my passion for the job."

Back in 2010 and later again in 2012, there were various reports speculating whether B was taking "something" to help her through the madness of her schedule.

And even then, she was adamant that she didn't need a pick-me-up. Well, unless you count an energy drink that is.
