Johannesburg - Rapper Kid X is on a journey to takeover the airwaves in 2015 and with a strong team behind him, you better believe he's going to be making waves.
Kid X is signed to Cashtime Life where his career is being watched over by a number of hip hop legends, including K.O and Ma-E.
He told Metro FM's Mo Flava recently that working with legends has made his transition in the industry easier, from recording a hit single with K.O (Caracara) to dropping his highly anticipated debut album.
"I couldn't have picked better mentors for my whole journey through music,' he told the station.
"When I came into the industry in 2011 I was wet behind the ears and I didn't know what was what. But they sort of ushered me in and their record speaks for themselves."
"They have gone through all the things I'm going through right now so they in the best position to guide me and sort of keep me on the right path," he adds.
One of the things his mentors will no doubt be helping him with is recording his debut album.
Kid X says fans can expect the album to drop before his birthday in October and hopes he can get the likes of Zakwe and Duncan on the album.
"If all else fails I'll drop it (my album) on my birthday. October 13," he adds.
