In an interview with Channel24 SA's first Bachelor Lee Thompson made claims of  "deception, manipulation and lies" behind-the-scenes on the first season of The Bachelor SA.

1. PRODUCER MANIPULATION

Lee tells Channel24 that he has no regrets about appearing on The Bachelor, but adds: "After watching the show and learning more about the ladies and what went on behind the scenes, I would have made different choices in terms of the women I selected.

He goes on to say: "...there were times where I was manipulated by production into keeping certain women in the show that I wanted out."

2. THE EMOTIONAL TOLL

Lee claims that the behind-the-scenes drama caused him severe psychological trauma. He says: "My book will lift this huge weight off my shoulders, which I've been carrying around for some time now."

3. AFTER THE FINAL ROSE

In the tell-all book, Lee will also delve into the events that transpired after the show wrapped, including his relationship with Gina and an incident between himself and a lady who was a fan-favourite on the show.

Despite not finding love on the reality TV show, Lee has opened his heart and found love again.

"I've enjoyed being able to love again and fully open up myself to one person. It's a special feeling knowing that there is someone there for you just as much as you are there for them," he tells Channel24.

M-Net responded to the claims saying: "All reality shows are directed to manage the quality of production and not the manipulation of outcome. We enjoyed working with Lee Thompson, and we wish him well in all his endeavours."
