TV personality Katlego Maboe found himself at the centre of a social media storm on Friday after allegations of infidelity and abuse were made against him.
The presenter has since been removed from the Expresso Morning Show, and the Outsurance ads which he features in will be taken off air.
Here's a timeline of the events which unfolded:
SOCIAL MEDIA STORM
On Thursday evening Katlego Maboe made Twitter's trending list when he became embroiled in a cheating and abuse scandal.
A video of the presenter, allegedly taken by partner Monique Muller, was shared online. In the clip, Katlego appears to confess to cheating. He is also accused of passing an STD on to his partner.
ALLEGATIONS OF ABUSE
The brother of Monique, Seth Muller, reportedly shared information in his Instagram Stories accusing Katlego of physically abusing his sister.
The posts, which have now been removed, claim a case of domestic violence has been opened against Katlego by Monique. It also alleges that the presenter had cheated on Monique while she was pregnant with their son.
Local publication TshisaLIVE has also reported that Monique has obtained a protection order against Katlego, saying the information was revealed to them through a reliable source "closely linked to the situation".
In a statement shared with Channel24, Katlego's publicist denied the allegations made against the star, saying they were "false and are an attempt by his former partner to harass and victimise him in order to cause emotional harm, as well as reputational and economic damage."
While confirming that he had been unfaithful, Katlego also denied the abuse allegations in a post shared on Instagram: "In light of the comments made against me, I would like to state that I have never abused my partner," he wrote.

Truth: I was unfaithful to my partner during a very important time of our lives - an act I regret to this day. We are currently undergoing an unfortunate and painful separation which is being resolved through legal proceedings. As you can imagine, separations are quite a difficult thing to deal with, especially with a child involved. In light of the comments made against me, I would like to state that I have never abused my partner. I have always and will always stand up against the abuse of women and children - in fact, the abuse of anyone for that matter. I had chosen to deal with this matter privately to protect and safeguard our child. At the end of the day, our child is all that matters to me. However, I will leave this to the legal system and let the truth have its day.
In the wake of the accusations, both Cardova Productions, which produces the Expresso Morning Show, as well as Outsurance, whose advertisements feature Katlego, released statements regarding the actions they will be taking.
The presenter has been removed from the Expresso Morning Show pending further investigations, and a spokesperson for Outsurance told Channel24 that any of their advertisements starring Katlego would be taken off air "as soon as practically possible".
HISTORY OF INFIDELITY
In 2016 Katlego was embroiled in another cheating scandal with a local TV personality.
According to All4Women, in an interview with Gareth Cliff, Katlego revealed that he had kissed the woman but said it did not evolve into anything beyond that. He was in a relationship with someone else at the time.
