South African rapper AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, is scheduled to perform at the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday.
AKA's social media team announced on Friday on the rapper's Instagram account: "Going live on SABC 1 & Supersport 2 just before the 6pm kick-off of the #NedbankCup2021 Final tomorrow."
AKA joins Prince Kaybee and Kamo Mphela on the opening act line-up.
This will be the rapper's first public performance following the death of his fiancée Anele 'Nelli' Tembe. The 22-year-old fell to her death from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in Loop street in Cape Town on 11 April.
On 23 April, AKA's publicist Pumza Nohashe releases a statement on behalf of the rapper, saying that Anele's death has taken a "great toll" on him - "emotionally and psychologically."
The rapper said he would be taking a break from the spotlight and that his team would manage his affairs in the public domain, including social media.
The Fela in Versace hitmaker is also scheduled to perform at the virtual rendition of Huawei Joburg Day 2021 on 28 May, Primedia confirmed.
