During an interview with Ebro Darden in October 2020, rapper Cassper Nyovest said that he had tested positive for Covid-19.

The rapper did not say when he contracted the virus, only saying: "At first, it was just a scary part where we didn't know what's going on, but we stayed home."

Cassper also spoke about the financial impact of Covid-19 on his "livelihood", saying that although he tested positive and was unable to earn a consistent income through performances, he continued to pay his employees "even though nobody was working".

Now, reflecting on his diagnosis, he tweeted: "The fact that I survived covid 19 physically and financially is a great blessing from God cause I'm not really a savings person. [sic]"

"I'm always flipping my money and I managed to keep all my favorite cars and crib. I am still standing through his grace. GOD IS TRULLY MERCIFUL!!! [sic]" he said.

In a separate tweet, the rapper said: "Too much love surrounds my name."

"I am soo grateful for it cause I am not perfect but yall love me through my flaws and weaknesses," he said, adding that he was "grateful. [sic]"
