Connie Ferguson officially launched the Ferguson Foundation at a glamourous gala dinner at the Houghton Hotel in Johannesburg.

The foundation, which Connie co-founded with her husband, Shona, is an independent programme dedicated to supporting disadvantaged people in the African society and empowering them in business, education, film, and creating industry leaders.

Several prominent public figures attended the glamorous gala dinner, including Department of Social Development minister Lindiwe Zulu, brothers Cecil and Collen Mashawana, Conrad Mwanza, and Dr Brian Monaisa, among others. Entertainment for the night was by DJ Choice, Alicia Ferguson, Bongane Sax, and Nomfundo Moh.

The foundation's initial launch was postponed by Shona's sudden death in July 2021 from Covid-19-related complications.
