Comic Con will be coming to Cape Town for one day only, with various pop-up events throughout the Mother City on 2 October.
Here's a taste of what you can expect on the day:
If you're into art, then Redemption Burgers at The Old Biscuit Mill is where you need to be. All artist activities, including interviews and a live drawing session hosted by SA comic writer and Illustrator Ray Witcher, will be found here. There's also a sketch battle which will see local artists compete to win a R5 000 prize. Activities begin at 10:00.
Test your Star Wars knowledge
Are you the ultimate Star Wars fan? Test your knowledge and win incredible prizes at the Star Wars Quiz taking place at Mojo Market in Sea Point from 11:00 to 12:00.
One quiz to rule them all
For all the Lord of the Rings fans out there, take part in a quiz at the Beerhouse on Long from 14:30 to 16:00, and meet up with other LOTR enthusiasts.
No Comic Con would be complete without a cosplay competition. Make your way to the VEGA Campus at De Waterkant for the Cosplay Regional Masters between 13:30 and 14:30.
Gamers, where you at?
Test your speed with F1 time trials or battle it out in Tekken at the ATK Arena in Claremont between 13:00 and 18:00, and stand a chance to compete against the SA champ and win a prize valued at R2000.
Table-top gamers will gather at Kind Regards at Dunkley Square from 09:00 to 16:00 for a Gathering Pioneer event and Dungeons & Dragons session.
Party on the ocean
End the day off with a dress-up sunset cruise on the Jolly Roger at the V&A Waterfront at 17:00.
