Reality TV star Sasha-Lee Davids is back in the spotlight with new music and her first-ever virtual concert - we find out more about life's detours after Idols SA and what's cooking up in studio! (Read the full interview with Sasha-Lee Davids here)

The joint winner of Idols SA season 5, alongside Jason Hartman, Sasha-Lee says: "After the Idols fiasco, things were really crazy, and I didn't have the best time with the media and decided to take a trip to England with my sister."

Following her controversial win, Sasha-Lee says although it appears that she has dropped off the radar, she "didn't really take a break". She says she has taken the opportunity to record a song written by All-4-One member Jamie Jones in the US.

In 2011, Sasha-Lee returned to the limelight with a reality TV show called House of Davids (Huis van Davids), which Sasha-Lee says was a challenge because she is a very private person. "But the show wasn't very invasive at all. We still got to decide what's in and what's out," she explains.

Keeping her romantic life out of the media is something Sasha-Lee says will never change. "I try to still own that part of my life without interference."

In all honesty, though, I'm not really a big fan of dating. I find myself annoyed most of the time. Yes, I've moved on from heartbreak but sometimes the best thing is to date yourself for a bit. I've been loving life and when it's time to share it with someone deserving, I'll be good with that too.

The 30-year-old released her track A Little Love in January and is gearing up for her first virtual concert, Sasha-Lee Davids Live, taking place on 27 February. (Find out more about that here)
