Cape Town - Local musician Ishmael Morabe recalled the time Bonang Matheba gave him a plate of food, when he was hungry and broke.

According to the artist, the well-known media personality has been doing good for others, way before she was a recognisable face on TV.

Speaking to V Entertainment the Takalani hitmaker says: "I was hungry. I was broke. She actually took me to res [residence]. That girl gave me a plate of food."

The musician explains that the incident happened before she was famous, and says that he will "never forget" what she did for him.

"She will always be sweet," he adds.
