  • Leeroy Sidambe has broken his silence on his relationship with content creator Mihlali Ndamase.
  • Ndamase has repeatedly come under fire for her relationship with the businessman.
  • In a statement posted on his official Twitter account Sidambe said he separated from his estranged wife in March and in this time fell in love with another woman.

Prominent businessman Leeroy Sidambe has addressed his relationship with content creator, and businesswoman Mihlali Ndamase.

Ndamase has repeatedly come under fire for her relationship with Sidambe, who is married, since they confirmed their relationship on social media last month.

In a statement on his official Twitter account, Sidambe said that he met and fell in love with Ndamase after separating from his estranged wife, Mary Jane.

"In March of this year, after many months of trying to make things work, I took steps towards a separation from my marriage and marital home – whilst still maintaining access to my [two] children. According to my understanding, and that conveyed by my lawyers, this meant that my estranged wife and I were free to live our lives as we saw fit. Free to move on in whatever manner we chose, as single individuals," reads the statement.

"In this time, I met a woman that I fell in love with. It has been heartbreaking to see her name dragged daily on social media for loving me boldly."

Sidambe said that the harassment Ndamase receives is "unbearable" and "not safe for anyone's mental well-being."

"I can no longer turn a blind eye to the effect cyberbullying has had on her. The constant defaming of those who work in the public space has to stop," he wrote.

In an interview with Nounouche Online, Ndamase admitted that while she is "crazy in love," she will only speak openly about her relationship when she is married as she does not "see the need" to talk about her relationships.

Sidambe's estranged wife has not commented on the matter.
