  • Marisia van Wyk and Marc Buckner are yet to make a public statement, after Marisia announced their breakup on Instagram in July.
  • Two weeks after announcing that she would take a break from social media, and blocking Marc on Instagram, Marisia has deactivated her account on the photo-sharing app.
  • On Monday, responding to a request for comment, M-Net told Channel24: "Marc and Marisia have decided to keep this private now."

Marisia van Wyk and Marc Buckner remain tight-lipped, following Marisia's breakup announcement on Instagram in July.

Marc gave his final rose to the 24-year-old in the season finale of The Bachelor SA in May. It was revealed during the Women Tell All Finale that they were still together, and had moved in together during the national lockdown.

In the comment section of the now-deleted Instagram post, announcing the breakup, Marisia responded to a user who asked if they were still together, saying: "No, haven't been for a while."

Marisia subsequently blocked Marc on Instagram, with Marc telling YOU that he did not see Marisia's post. He said: "She's blocked me. I can't talk about this now. I have a lot to process."

In an Instagram Story shortly after that, Marisia revealed that she would be taking a break from social media; however, she remained active on Instagram for several weeks.

Marisia has now deleted her Instagram account.

When asked if Marisia's deactivated account is linked to her breakup from Marc, M-Net told Channel24: "Marc and Marisia have decided to keep this private now and as soon as they're ready we'll be in touch again."
