Mrs South Africa 2021 was announced at Emperors Palace on Thursday and saw Jacqueline Ferns crown her successor.
"This journey will change your life and grow you. I can't wait to see what legacy you will leave behind. The world is your oyster," Jacqueline said, reflecting on her reign and sharing a message with the new titleholder, ahead of the grand finale.
30-year-old Thenjiwe Mdluli was announced the winner at the hybrid event in Johannesburg on Thursday, which consisted of a live-stream and invite-only viewing experience.
The mother-of-two holds a BCom degree in Risk Management from Unisa and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Wits Business School.
Thenjiwe, who runs an engineering consulting firm with her husband, says she is passionate about wellness and nutrition and aims to become a health coach.
"My dream is to change our thinking around nutrition and eradicate the scourge of lifestyle diseases that is prevalent in our low-income communities," she says.
"I believe in the unlimited power of women. I hope that women can see themselves in my story and be inspired to become the best versions of themselves," she adds.
