Johannesburg – Sharing an Instagram post for the first time since competing in the Miss World pageant on Saturday, Sasha-Lee Olivier thanked supporters for standing by her when she took to the world stage.
"South Africa, what a journey it has been – and this is only the beginning. Thank you! Thank you all for the love and support you have given me! Thank you for your belief in me. I just cannot tell you how grateful I am," Sasha-Lee captioned a video of herself at the competition.
Now that Zozibini Tunzi has claimed the Miss Universe crown, Sasha-Lee will take her place as the new Miss South Africa until another queen is crowned in 2020.
