The Bachelor's Jessica Calder and Bauke Hanekom, from Hoor My, Sien My, Soen My are dating, proving that you can find love on TV - well, so to speak.

Although both failed to find love on their respective dating shows, Jessica and Bauke sparked a romantic connection on Instagram after the dating shows aired on national TV.

After leaving the mansion without a rose from Marc Buckner, Jessica told Channel24: "I am still looking for love, that real head-over-heels kind of love. I know it's out there just sadly in self-isolation right now!"

"Bauke followed me on Instagram first, let's just get that straight, I then DMed him," she laughs, saying that Instagram is the new Tinder.

"Our first date and meet up was at Cape Quarter. Bauke had to get cleaning products. That's dating in lockdown. We both felt an instant connection, and the rest is history," she says.

According to Jessica, dating during lockdown is all about being creative and having fun while adhering to restrictions.

"Our most romantic date was when we were away for the weekend in Ceres. We sat on a big fluffy blanket by a fire in the cottage where we were staying, eating sushi from Maaya and drinking wine. It was so romantic," she said.

"I'm excited for what's to come and what the future has to hold for the two of us. And I know I'm going to speak on behalf of Bauke. But I know that he's also very happy."

"We are both very much in love. So it's all happened very, very quickly. But I guess when you know, you know," she adds.
