Johannesburg – Nelson Makamo had the opportunity to sit down with comedian Trevor Noah to be interviewed on The Daily Show

The artist, who produced his first-ever magazine cover for TIME magazine's Optimists issue in early 2019, posted a picture of himself on the set of the show alongside Trevor.

"My life's work is to show the world who we truly are, today was a memorable day. I am an African child with a dream!" he wrote.

Beside the portrait he has painted for the TIME cover, Nelson's work has also been supported by the likes of Black Coffee, Oprah Winfrey and Gail King.
