  • Somizi Mhlongo did not hold back his punches when he revealed that he was ready to take his estranged husband on in the boxing ring.
  • Mhlongo said this as he responded to a question from his friend, Cassper Nyovest.
  • The revelation was made in the latest episode of his reality show, Living The Dream With Somizi.

Given the opportunity to get into a boxing ring and fight, media personality Somizi Mhlongo would take on his estranged husband, Mohale Motaung.

The media personality said this in the latest episode of his Showmax reality show, Living The Dream With Somizi. Mhlongo gave the shocking response to rapper Cassper Nyovest at his elaborate 49th birthday dinner.

Nyovest asked Mhlongo who he would fight if he were to get into the boxing ring. The two, along with a few other friends, were discussing Nyovest's boxing fight with the highly controversial personality Slik Talk in December 2021.

After Mhlongo's instantaneous response, the group of friends ensued in laughter.

In one of his confessionals, the media personality said: "Let's be fair and square. Let’s be men. It's not over until it's over."

"Let's be men and meet in the ring, and then there’'l be real fists."

In another confessional, Mhlongo said it was "a brilliant concept".

"Imagine me and him in a ring. One, we're going to be like Slik Talk, and he's going to make money so let's do it. I think it’s a brilliant concept," he said.

The couple's fairytale turned into a nightmare in 2021 when an audio clip was leaked. The audio was of a conversation between Motaung and Legend Manqele.

In the audio, Motaung admitted to cheating on Mhlongo at the beginning of their relationship and shared details of abuse by Mhlongo.

The couple had their traditional wedding in 2019 and their white wedding a few months later, in January 2020. They got engaged in France in 2018.
