
Free State Stars chairman Mike Mokoena has died, Sport24 reported on Wednesday.
The Premier Soccer League confirmed the news on Wednesday. According to SABC News, he died on Wednesday in a Johannesburg hospital from cancer.

Paying tribute to his father, actor Thapelo Mokoena, wrote on Instagram: "I've been dreading this day coming for a long time now. You put up a good fight with this cancer dad."
He added: "Thank you for life. Thank you for the years. You can rest now. You also chose to leave on your son's birthday."
Friends and industry colleagues shared their condolences with the Trackers actor, including Gail Mabalane, Ntando Duma and Refilwe Modiselle.
"I'm sorry my brother, I know you will continue to make him proud by being the great father you are to your kids," wrote Nandi Madida.
