The Bachelor SA season 2 contestant Andeline Wieland tested positive for Covid-19.

After appearing on the reality dating show, Andeline was crowned second runner-up at Miss Supranational Namibia in November 2019.

Andeline said on Instagram: "Well I managed to keep safe for all of 2020. Unfortunately have started 2021 off by being Covid-19 positive."

According to Andeline, her symptoms are "mild", however, she has been experiencing "fatigue and cold sweats as well as mild headaches".

Andeline's boyfriend, Kris Barnard, also contracted Covid-19, and according to the post he has "lost his smell and taste and has coughing fits".

"At this point I am more concerned for him," she said.

"[Please] be safe out there," Andeline said, adding: "This is not a hoax or conspiracy theory, it's real and this new strain is more contagious."
