The Bachelor SA's Jessica R finds love again after Marc Buckner

  • The Bachelor SA season 2 contestant Jessica Ross has gone public with a new relationship, after failing to form a love connection with Marc Buckner.
  • Jessica left the reality dating show during the season's most emotional rose ceremony.
  • "Sometimes people come into your life when you least expect it," she wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo of the couple in an embrace.
  • In a South African first, M-Net has announced the first season of The Bachelorette. 


In a lengthy Instagram post on Tuesday, The Bachelor season 2 contestant Jessica Ross, announced that she had found love with personal trainer and model, Brent Thompson.

An early favourite on the reality dating show, Jessica left the The Bachelor SA during the season's most emotional rose ceremony. 

Shocked and hurt, Jessica Ross didn't immediately leave the rose ceremony, as she wanted some answers from Marc Buckner after he told her that he felt that he was "being manipulated" by her.

The fashion designer shared several photos of herself posing lovingly with her new boyfriend on the photo-sharing app. According the social media post, the photos were taking during the couple's stay at a boutique wine farm in the Franschhoek Valley.

"Sometimes people come into your life when you least expect it... You appeared in my life at a time when I thought I was far from ready to be able to let someone new in. You were patient with me and understood all the emotions I was still processing, and not once did it make you want to second guess your decision by asking me to be your girlfriend, [sic]" she wrote on Instagram. 

"Time heals everything, and difficult times will pass. But I know you will be there to support me no matter what, just like I will do for you, [sic]" she added.

Although Jessica didn't share more details about the new relationship, she said: "I am so happy you slid into my dms."

Other ladies from The Bachelor SA who have gone public with a new love interest in 2020 include Jozaan Digue and Jessica Calder.

Jessica R's announcement comes just as M-Net is due to announce SA's first ever Bachelorette.
